Real Madrid are said to be interested in signing Egypt international star Mohamed Salah.

That is according to his country’s head coach Hector Cuper, who says he has “received confirmed news” of their interest in the Liverpool forward.

The 25-year-old, who has 56 international caps for his country, has impressively scored 17 goals and provided five assists in 22 appearances in all competitions for the Premier League side so far this season.

Salah, who arrived at Anfield back in June following his reported £36.9m switch from Serie A side AS Roma, netted twice in 19 games for rivals Chelsea between 2014 and 2016 during his first spell in English football.

However, following his electric start to the campaign in Merseyside, Egypt boss Cuper claims La Liga giants Madrid want to sign the Reds winger.

Via the London Evening Standard, he told ON Sport TV, “I’ve received confirmed news revealing Real Madrid’s interest in Salah, but let’s not rush things.

“To me, he is in an amazing position right now.”
