Chelsea make the short trip across west London to face Brentford on Saturday night.

The Blues have started the season strongly and remain unbeaten after three matches, sitting second in the Premier League table.

Enzo Maresca will hope to see his side pick up all three points against the Bees, in what will be the Blues’ fourth consecutive London derby.

New signing Liam Delap will miss the match after suffering an injury against Fulham last time out, but talisman Cole Palmer could make his return after missing the last two games.

In the meantime, it appears that Chelsea have identified three potential targets as they look to bolster Maresca’s squad in one particular area.

As per CaughtOffside, the west London side are keen to add an attacking midfielder to their ranks, and have identified three players as possible targets.

Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers – who impressed for England against Serbia on Tuesday night – is one player on Chelsea’s radar, with the Blues set to ponder a move next year.

Chelsea missed out on transfer target Xavi Simons over the summer, with the Dutchman instead joining rivals Tottenham Hotspur, and the FIAF Club World Cup champions are set to be in the market for a new attacking midfielder when the window reopens.

Rogers, 23, has scored 17 goals and provided the same number of assists in 73 matches for the Villans, having joined from Championship side Middlesbrough last year.

Juventus’ Kenan Yildiz and Lyon star Malick Fofana are also said to be of interest to Chelsea, who signed a number of attackers including Joao Pedro, Alejandro Garnacho and Jamie Gittens over the summer.

Chelsea could face competition from the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City in the race to lure Rogers away from Villa Park, the report claims.
