Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing England defender Alfie Mawson, according to The Sun.

The Premier League side, who defeated Swansea City 3-0 on Saturday to reach the semi-finals of the FA Cup, are interested in The Swans’ centre-back ahead of the summer transfer window.

The 24-year-old, who has been called up to the England senior side for the first time earlier this week, has scored three goals in 36 appearances in all competitions for the Welsh outfit so far this season.

Mawson, who joined Swansea back in August 2016 following his reported £5m switch from Championship side Barnsley, has netted seven goals in 63 games overall for the club.

The report claims the former England Under-21 international has emerged as a transfer target for Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino, though the defender would likely cost around five times more now, than what he did nearly two years ago.
