Championship

5. Leeds United – £50.30

Leeds sit in fifth, as the football and rugby mad Yorkshire city come in at over £50 for a day out at Elland Road. With some of the most dedicated fans in the Football League, we believe they deserve a bit better after some of the troublesome times they’ve been through

Match ticket: £42
Programme: £3
Pie: £3.10
Tea: £2.20

4. Brighton and Hove Albion – £51.70

Another club we expected to be nearer the top, to be fair though, for such an affluent area, and playing attractive football in one of the nicest new grounds in England, you can’t be too harsh on the table topping Seagulls, who may well be playing in the Premier League next season.

Match ticket: £42
Programme: £3.50
Pie: £4.10
Tea: £2.10

3. Ipswich Town – £54

Just 60p cheaper for a day out at Portman Road than Fulham, which represents pretty poor value for money from the Suffolk club. With the most expensive matchday ticket coming in at £45.50, it looks like the Tractor boys are taking their fans for a ride.

Match ticket: £45.50
Programme: £3.50
Pie: £3.50
Tea: £2

2. Fulham – £54.60

Not a surprise, for a team who spent a long time in the Premier League, as well as calling one of London’s most affluent areas home, their most expensive £45 ticket at Craven Cottage isn’t great value, but we’ve seen worse.

Match ticket: £45
Programme: £3.50
Pie: £3.90
Tea: £2.20

1. Sheffield Wednesday – £60.20

The Sheffield club somehow justify charging fans £52 a ticket at Hillsborough, we have no idea either! With a Premier League hiatus since the millennium, and finishing in the bottom half of the Championship the past three seasons since promotion from League One, the Owls might want to restructure their ticket pricing a little.
