Everton complete second most expensive Premier League deal in the January window

Everton have completed the £13.5 million signing of Lokomotiv Moscow striker Oumar Niasse –  the most expensive Premier League deal in the January window so far.

The Senegal international had been keen to make the move to the Premier League, and has got his wish after making the move to the Merseyside outfit.

Toffees boss Roberto Martinez had been looking to sign a replacement for Steven Naismith, who moved to Norwich, and a forward to provide more competition for top goalscorer Romelu Lukaku.

Niasse has scored 12 goals and provided 10 assists in just 21 Russian Premier League matches this term, and was named as the division’s best player in 2015.
