Everton have reportedly emerged as favourites to sign New Zealand international striker Chris Wood this summer, according to Bet Victor.

The Premier League side, who currently sit seventh in the English top-flight standings following their 4-0 victory over Hull City last Saturday, have been linked with a move for the in-form Leeds United forward.

The 25-year-old, who has 42 international caps for his country, has impressively scored 27 goals and provided two assists in 40 appearances in all competitions for the Championship outfit so far this season, helping Garry Monk’s men lie eight points adrift of the automatic promotion places in fourth place.

Wood, who is understood to be valued at around £15m, has impressively netted 40 times in 77 games overall for Leeds following his arrival back in July 2015 from Leicester City.

The source claims Ronald Koeman’s Toffees are favourites to lure the Kiwi to Goodison Park this summer (4/1), whilst fellow Premier League rivals West Ham United and Stoke City are joint-second favourites at 8/1.
