The Europa League may not be the most glamourous of competitions but it does offer the fans the chance to travel to the continent to watch their side and offer another route into the Champions League.
As Manchester United have shown this season, it can make a lot of sense to focus on the Europa as at times its an easier way to guarantee Champions League football than breaking into the Premier League top four.
Everton look destined for Europa League football next season as following United’s League Cup win, coupled with the fact one of the top six sides is destined to win the FA Cup and Leicester can’t win the Champions League, seventh place in the Premier League should serve up European football.
West Bromwich Albion’s recent dire run which has seen them win just one game in seven now means the Toffees are are 13 points clear of the Baggies with five left to play, meaning it would take a turnaround of unprecedented proportions to stop Everton playing in the Europa next season.
Here’s how fans on social media have been reacting to the prospect:
West brom would have to win every game & Everton lose every game for us not to qualify for the Europa League. Southampton would need 6 wins

Finishing seventh in the Premier League is now a guaranteed Europa League spot after Leicester City are knocked out of the Champions League.
