The signing of Morgan Schneiderlin from Manchester United was a serious statement of intent from Everton and Ronald Koeman as they look to challenge for a place in Europe and show that it’s not all one way when it comes to transfers between the Toffees and some of the Premier League’s top sides, Schneiderlin picked up a knock in the recent win over Hull City but sent out a funny tweet to indicate not only is he back training but he’s ready to get in the ring with boxer Tony Bellew.
Schneiderlin endured a torrid time at Old Trafford barely able to put a consistent run of games together as the struggled with injury, form and a the fact the club had brought several other midfield options in over the past few years.
With Gareth Barry entering his twilight years and Ross Barkley more of an attacking midfielder, Schneiderlin could prove to be vital to the Toffees midfield over the next few seasons.
