Everton leading Arsenal and Man City in chase for QPR youngster Josh Bowler

Premier League outfit Everton are hoping to beat Arsenal and Manchester City to Queens Park Rangers sensation Josh Bowler, according to TEAMtalk.

The 17-year-old has been in the youth ranks at Loftus Road since 2013 but signed his first professional deal there earlier this year, and made his senior debut for the club in their 4-0 loss to Norwich City on the final day of the Championship season.

The winger played 21 minutes as Ian Holloway’s men finished a frustrating league campaign with another disappointing result, yet Bowler’s future looks bright with Ronald Koeman’s Everton reportedly looking to bring him to Goodison Park this summer.

The Toffees have reportedly bid £500,000 for the 17-year-old as they look to land him ahead of Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal and Pep Guardiola’s Man City, both of whom were reportedly keeping tabs on the youngster’s progress.

However, TEAMtalk report that QPR, who finished 18th in the Championship this season, are hoping for an improved bid for Bowler before they enter into a potential deal, although it does appear that Everton are the side showing the greatest concrete interest as they look to bolster their youth options.

Mason Holgate, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, and Tom Davies have all been given regular first team opportunities this term by Koeman, and this trust the Dutchman places in young players may tempt Bowler into a move to Merseyside this summer.
