Everton are reportedly lining up a move for Arsenal defender Calum Chambers, if John Stones leaves the club.
The latter was the subject of a number of bids from Chelsea in the summer transfer window, and more offers are expected in January.
If the 21-year-old was to leave Goodison Park, it is thought that Toffees boss Roberto Martinez would look to bring in Chambers as his replacement.
The former Southampton man has struggled to break into the first team at the Emirates since joining the Gunners in the summer of 2014, and has made just eight appearances in all competitions this season.
