Everton offered Traore in Lukaku package

Everton could be offered Bertrand Traore as part of Chelsea’s bid to sign Romelu Lukaku.

According to a report in the Daily Mail the 21-year-old could be part of a package to avoid paying out £100m for a striker that was previously at the club.

Traore spent last season on loan to Ajax where he impressed with 13 goals including four in their run to the final of the Europa League.

With two years left on his contract this summer will be critical if Everton are to maximise the value of Lukaku who appears to have expressed a preference to join Chelsea despite interest from Manchester United and Bayern Munich.

There hasn’t been any takers at the £100m value put on the player by the club after talks about a new deal collapsed.

Ronald Koeman has been looking far and wide for alternative striking options to Lukaku with Traore fitting the bill in terms of age and pedigree.
