Everton are ready to continue their summer spending as Ronald Koeman looks to bolster his side before the window closes on 31st August, and have lodged a £25.8m bid for Napoli forward Manolo Gabbiadini, according to Premier Sport (via talkSport).
The 21-year-old joined the Italian outfit from fellow Serie A side, Sampdoria in January 2015 and has made 61 appearances, scoring on 20 occasions since his £10.6m move.
Despite a decent record the Italian international is yet to make a permanent spot in the side his own, and the club are open to a move away as long as a replacement can be found, however having already lost Gonzalo Higuain this summer a deal could be hard to strike.
The former Sampdoria man, who can play as an attacking midfielder or striker, as drawn interest from a host of Premier League clubs, with Southampton, Stoke and Crystal Palace all linked.
Koeman’s side play hosts to Mark Hughes’ Stoke City on Saturday, and even if a deal can be finalised before then, it may be too soon for Gabbiadini.
