Everton have reportedly revived their interest in £15 million-rated Crystal Palace defender Scott Dann after their £10 million bid for Swansea City’s Ashley Williams was rejected, according to the Daily Mirror.

The Toffees were understood to be close to agreeing terms on a deal for the Wales captain, but now they could turn their attentions to the 29-year-old – who they were interested in last summer – instead as they look for a replacement for John Stones, who is said to be on the verge of a move to Manchester City.

Dann opted to sign a new five-year deal with the Eagles a year ago, and with his current contract running until 2020, it is believed that it would take an offer of around £15 million to convince the south London club to sell.

The former Birmingham City man has made 93 appearances for Palace since joining them from Blackburn Rovers for £6 million in January 2015, scoring 10 goals.
