Everton are reportedly set to launch a £3m bid to sign Championship starlet Sam Byram this month, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.
The Premier League side, who drew 0-0 at Manchester City on Wednesday night, are hopeful of beating rivals Liverpool, Sunderland and West Ham United to the highly-rated Leeds United full-back.
The 22-year-old, who has been with the Whites since he was 12, has scored three goals in 24 appearances in all competitions for Steve Evans’ side this season.
However Byram, whose contract at Elland Road is set to expire in the summer, is thought to be valued at around £5m by Leeds owner Massimo Cellino.
