Everton are reportedly monitoring former Manchester United defender Michael Keane.

The Burnley centre-half, who only arrived at Turf Moor from Old Trafford back in the New Year, has impressed for Sean Dyche’s Clarets since their return to the Championship.

The 22-year-old, who earned 16 international caps for England’s Under-21 side, has already scored three goals in nine league games for Burnley so far this season.

Being the club’s top goalscorer; Keane has significantly helped the Lancashire club climb up to sixth place in the Championship, despite their 2-1 home defeat to Reading at the weekend.

Having graduated through Manchester United’s youth academy; Keane eventually went onto make five first-team appearances for the 13-time Premier League champions, although he also enjoyed loan spells at Leicester City, Derby County and Blackburn Rovers.
