Name: Ross Barkley
Position: Midfielder
It has been another up-and-down campaign for Everton, but one of their shining lights has certainly been midfielder Ross Barkley.
While the 22-year-old struggled to impose himself on games last season – he scored two goals and picked up two assists in 29 Premier League appearances – it has been a completely different story this time around as he has become far more involved and influential for Roberto Martinez’s team.
The England international has already scored six goals in 22 outings this term, as well as picking up an impressive seven assists, and it is the kind of form that could mean he is not only in contention to be named in Roy Hodgson’s squad to go to Euro 2016, but that he could also be in the Three Lions’ starting XI in France this summer.
