Everton’s 2015 Premier League Player of the Year

Name: Romelu Lukaku
Position: Striker

Lukaku celebrates his goal against Norwich in December.

There were a number of candidates for this award, including John Stones and Phil Jagielka, and had the latter not missed the last two months of the year through injury, the reigning Fans’ and Players’ Player of the Season may well have won it.

However, it is also those last two months that have helped swing it in the favour of the Toffees’ super Belgian striker, Romelu Lukaku.

While the second half of the 2014/15 campaign may not have been his best in the Premier League, the 22-year-old has certainly made up for it this term, scoring 15 goals in 19 league appearances, including strikes in seven successive games up until Boxing Day.
