Chelsea have reportedly agreed terms to re-sign Belgium international hitman Romelu Lukaku, according to the Daily Star.

The Premier League champions, who finished seven points clear of runners-up Tottenham Hotspur in the English top-flight last term, have been continually linked with luring the Everton striker back to Stamford Bridge ahead of the 2017-18 campaign.

The 24-year-old, who has 59 international caps for his country, impressively scored 26 goals and provided seven assists in 39 appearances for The Toffees last season.

Lukaku, who joined The Blues back in 2011 from Anderlecht, failed to find the back of the net in 15 first-team games for Chelsea, before being loaned out to West Bromwich Albion and Everton, and then sealing a permanent club-record £28m transfer to Goodison Park in 2014.

However, after a prolific 2016-17 campaign, the report suggests Lukaku has agreed to return to Stamford Bridge this summer, where he is set to earn £150,000-a-week.

Everton are looking to pocket a world record £100m for the Belgian’s services.
