Holders Manchester United will host Wigan Athletic and Premier League leaders Chelsea will entertain Brentford in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
Jose Mourinho’s Red Devils thumped Reading 4-0 on Saturday, and will now face another Championship side in the form of Wigan, who of course won the FA Cup back in 2013.
Antonio Conte’s Blues have a West London derby to look forward to in round four, with Brentford visiting Stamford Bridge, while Tottenham will welcome League Two high-flyers Wycombe Wanderers to White Hart Lane in a few weeks’ time.
Arsenal will travel to either Southampton or Norwich in the next round, while Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City, the 2011 winners, will visit either Crystal Palace or Bolton in round four.
League One side Millwall, who comprehensively beat Bournemouth in the third round, will host another Premier League in Watford, while Stoke’s conquerors Wolves will face the winner of Plymouth Argyle and Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, who replay in eight days’ time.
The two non-league sides left in the competitions, Lincoln City and Sutton United, will both face Championship opposition at home should they win their replays against Ipswich and AFC Wimbledon respectively, with Brighton and Leeds waiting in the wings.
On the surface, there aren’t too many ties that stand out, and many supporters took to Twitter to express their views of the draw, with many echoing those sentiments…
FA Cup draw absolute pants ..ALL top sides with relatively easy draws…is it a conspiracy by FA to re invigorate a dyimg competition?
