West Ham have endured a tough first season at the London Stadium with their form yet to really take off all season. However, a win over rivals Tottenham under the lights to all but hand Antonio Conte’s Chelsea the Premier League title will be one to remember for fans in Stratford.
Manuel Lanzini’s second half goal was enough to cap a fine performance from Slaven Bilic’s side who harassed and restricted Spurs all night long to deny them a tenth straight league win.
The loss comes just a couple of weeks after Mauricio Pochettino’s men lost to the Blues at Wembley in the FA Cup semi-final after which, on BBC Sport, things got a little heated when former Spurs man Jermaine Jenas claimed Spurs deserved the win.
Therefore, after the loss in Stratford last night handed Chelsea the golden chance to go seven points clear of second place when they face Middlesbrough on Monday night, it didn’t take fans long to take aim at Jenas who was commentating on the game for 5Live Sport.
