Five Injury-prone players Manchester United should avoid signing this summer, according to The Peoples Person

The rumour mill is starting to circulate, with Manchester United linked with many top European players as they desperately attempt to bridge the gap between themselves and fierce rivals Liverpool and Manchester City.

However, in the recent past United have maybe made one or two snap judgements in the transfer market as they attempt to claw themselves back to Premier League contenders once more.

With this in mind The Peoples Person has named five players United have been linked with, who have all suffered with injury issues in the past.

Will United still risk buying these players?

Aaron Ramsey

The former Arsenal man has been linked with United in recent weeks despite only leaving Arsenal for Juventus last summer.

Ramsey is competing against a whole host of world class midfielders and has not been a regular starter for the Serie A side.

With Juve’s hope of resigning Paul Pogba, Ramsey could be offered in a swap deal, but should United avoid the Welshman due to his past injury woes?

Samuel Umtiti

Although Harry Maguire joined United in a mega-money deal last August, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer still believes his team require another top central defender.

Alongside other names, Barcelona’s Umtiti has been linked with a switch to Old Trafford, but the World Cup winner is not a stranger to the treatment table.

Gareth Bale

Another Welshman to make the list, this time in the way of Champions League winner Gareth Bale. I think it’s fair to say the winger’s relationship with his current club is not at it’s best, with recent reports suggesting Bale could be allowed to leave on a free transfer this summer.

However, the 30-year-old’s injuries have been well documented throughout his career, so could it be a risk not worth taking for Man United.

Harry Kane

An interesting one to make the list, as the striker’s quality is such that any club would take a risk on Harry Kane.

However, the injury element cannot be ignored, with Kane having to play such regular top-level football, it has taken a toll on his body which have seen him have lengthy spells off the pitch in the last couple of seasons.

Thiago Alcantara

The former Bacelona man, who now plays his football for Bundesliga serial champions Bayern Munich, was actually close to signing for United under David Moyes.

However, nearly seven years on the move never materialised and despite further rumours, United will have to consider the midfielders time on the treatment table.
