Former Manchester United star Paul Pogba has completed a long-awaited return to Juventus.

The Frenchman, who returns to the Italian side on a free transfer, confirmed the news on Twitter on Monday, posting a clip of his highlights from his first spell in Turin.

The 28-year-old emerged from United’s academy as a youngster before joining Juventus in 2012 on a free transfer.

Pogba made 177 appearances for Juventus between 2012 and 2016

Just four years later he returned, though, for a fee of £94.5 million, after a trophy-laden spell in Italy.

During his time in Manchester, the midfielder was heavily criticised for an apparent lack of effort, but did amass more than 230 appearances for the Red Devils.

He scored 39 goals and provided 51 assists during his second spell with United, and also won the Europa League and League Cup.

In recent months, speculation that he would leave Old Trafford at the end of his contract had been building, and he made it clear towards the end of the season that he would be leaving the club.
