Former West Ham striker set to reject return to the Hammers to join Corinthians

Former West Ham United striker Carlos Tevez is reportedly set to turn down a return to the club in order to join Brazilian side Corinthians, according to the Daily Mirror.
Hammers boss Slaven Bilic is keen to bring a marquee attacker ahead of the team’s debut season at the Olympic Stadium, and had identified the Boca Juniors forward as one of his top targets, with a contract offer of £150,000 a week said to be on the table.
However, it is understood that the Argentine will instead move to another of his former sides, Corinthians, after snubbing interest from the east London outfit, Atletico Madrid and Juventus, meaning Bilic could now turn his attentions to other targets, such as AC Milan’s Carlos Bacca and Liverpool’s Christian Benteke.
Tevez, who is a West Ham legend after almost single-handedly securing their Premier League survival on the final day of the 2006/07 season, scored seven goals in 26 appearances in all competitions for the Irons during his previous spell.
