Netherlands international Jeremain Lens admits he does not want to return to Sunderland when his season-long loan at Fenerbahce expires, according to Voetball International (via Chronicle Live).

The Premier League side, who sit rock-bottom of the English top-flight standings after 11 fixtures, despite recording their first win of the 2016/17 season after defeating AFC Bournemouth 2-1 on Saturday, offloaded the winger to the Turkish giants back in August.

The 28-year-old, who has 31 international caps for his country and has worked his way back into the Netherlands set-up, has scored two goals and provided five assists in eight appearances in all competitions for the Super Lig outfit this campaign.

And despite being on loan; Lens, who joined the Black Cats from Dynamo Kiev back in July 2015 on a four-year deal, wants to stay at Fenerbahce as it feel likes home.

He told Voetball International, “I feel I no longer belong there [Sunderland]. If Fenerbahce want me, I want to stay.

“I am not happy at Sunderland. I have friends within this (Fenerbahce) team, my relationships with my team-mates are excellent.”
