Wales international forward Gareth Bale wants to join Manchester United, according to Don Balon.

The Premier League side, who visit Turf Moor to take on Burnley on Saturday (15:00) in the top-flight, have been continually linked with mega money moves for the Real Madrid winger during previous transfer windows.

The 28-year-old, who has 68 international caps for the Dragons, has scored seven goals and provided five assists in 16 appearances in all competitions for the La Liga giants so far this season.

Bale, who arrived at the Bernabeu back in September 2013 following his then world record £85.3m switch from Tottenham Hotspur, has netted 74 times in 166 games overall for Madrid.

However, the report claims the right winger has told Madrid club president Florentino Perez that he wants to quit Zinedine Zidane’s side and join Jose Mourinho’s Red Devils, with talks understood to be ongoing for weeks.

The former Spurs star is now valued at around £67.5m, by transfermarkt.
