The FA Cup semi-finals conclude on Sunday afternoon (15:00), as Premier League heavyweights Arsenal and Manchester City go head-to-head at Wembley Stadium.

The Gunners, who thumped National League outfit Lincoln City 5-0 in the previous round, have slipped seven points adrift of tomorrow’s opponents, who occupy fourth spot in the top-flight table.

Meanwhile The Citizens, who beat Middlesbrough 2-0 in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup, are looking to build upon back-to-back league wins over Hull City and Southampton respectively.

The FA Cup remains City’s only chance of silverware this season, following early exits in this term’s EFL Cup and UEFA Champions League, whilst Pep Guardiola’s side are 11 points adrift of Premier League leaders Chelsea, with only six matches remaining.

So, Guardiola will feel doubly determined to defeat Arsenal on Sunday and book City’s spot in the FA Cup final next month, offering himself the chance of wrapping up his debut campaign at the Etihad Stadium outfit with a trophy.

But, in order to do so, here are THREE players Shoot! think the manager should drop for tomorrow’s semi-final clash…

Claudio Bravo

Yes, the much criticised goalkeeper DID keep a clean sheet in his last outing, during City’s impressive 3-0 win at Southampton. But, let’s be frank, he didn’t have a lot to do!

Bravo, who has only kept five clean sheets in the Premier League this season, has started The Citizens’ last three FA Cup outings, including both fifth round ties against Huddersfield Town.

But, sticking with the Chilean for the semi-final might be a risk too far for Guardiola, with Willy Caballero ready to step in, if required.

Remember, 35-year-old Caballero is a Wembley hero for City following his penalty shootout performance during the 2016 League Cup final triumph against Liverpool!

Yaya Toure

The midfield maestro was arguably the least impressive performer at St Mary’s Stadium last weekend, despite playing the full 90 minutes for City.

The 33-year-old, who has chipped in with six goals in all competitions this season, has only featured three times in the FA Cup under Guardiola this term, and could be dropped to the bench for Sunday’s semi-final.

Toure wastefully lost possession on numerous occasions against Southampton last time out, and the manager will not want a repeat of that from the Ivorian in such an important fixture.

Guardiola could opt instead to hand starts to either defensive midfielder Fernando, or winger Raheem Sterling, at Wembley, with Toure perhaps able to make an impact from the bench.

Jesus Navas

Despite putting in a good shift at right-back against The Saints last weekend, primary winger Jesus Navas is set to be replaced in City’s back line.

With centre-half John Stones pushing to be fit for Sunday’s clash, boss Guardiola could switch around his back four again, with full-back Pablo Zabaleta another option having captained The Citizens in all but one of their FA Cup ties this campaign.
