Swansea City play host to 13-time Premier League champions Manchester United on Sunday at the Liberty Stadium in the Premier League’s final game of the weekend.

Both teams go into the clash unbeaten this season, with Garry Monk’s Swans currently in sixth place after two draws and a win in their opening three league games, meanwhile Louis van Gaal’s Red Devils have seen off Tottenham and Aston Villa to occupy fourth spot.

The Welsh side will be hoping midfield maestro Jonjo Shelvey will be on fine form after already providing two assists in all competitions this season as he waits to see whether he has broken into Roy Hodgson’s England squad for the upcoming Euro 2016 qualifiers against San Marino and Switzerland.

Meanwhile, Michael Carrick, who has 33 international caps to his name, will be looking to control the centre of the park for the visitors on Sunday having featured in all of United’s matches so far this season, including their impressive 4-0 win at Club Brugge in midweek.

With both midfielders set to battle it out for Sunday’s honours and perhaps a place in the forthcoming England line-up, here is how both men match up so far this season…
