Hull City have agreed a fee with Chesterfield for winger Sam Clucas.

The Championship outfit have reportedly had a £1m bid accepted by the Spireites for the former Mansfield Town midfielder on Saturday.

The 24-year-old played a pivotal role in the League One side’s push for the play-offs last season, scoring 12 goals in 55 appearances in all competitions under former boss Paul Cook.

Hull City, who suffered relegation from the Premier League last term, have beaten off League One rivals Scunthorpe United and Wigan Athletic to Clucas’ signing, whilst Tigers winger Robbie Brady’s move to Norwich City is still set to go ahead this summer.
