“I love you more than my own father!” Liverpool fans laud Daniel Sturridge’s strike at West Ham United

Liverpool reclaimed third spot in the Premier League standings after defeating West Ham United 4-0 at the London Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Goals from Daniel Sturridge, Philippe Coutinho (2) and Divock Origi sealed a convincing away victory for The Reds in the capital, as Jurgen Klopp’s side look to qualify for the UEFA Champions League next term by finishing in the top-flight’s top four.

Today’s result means if Liverpool beat already relegated Middlesbrough on the final day of the 2016-17 campaign next Sunday at Anfield, they will guarantee themselves a spot in next season’s European elite competition.

Aside from a thrilling performance inside the Olympic Stadium, Reds fans were particularity delighted to see forward Sturridge get on the scoresheet for the first time since early-January – netting just his seventh goal in all competitions this campaign.
