International stalwart calls time on a career spanning a decade

Scotland and Celtic captain, Scott Brown has called time on his international career after over a decade in the national side.
The 31-year-old has made 50 appearances for the national side, making his debut against in a 1-1 drawn with the United States at Hampden Park in November 2005.
The former Hibernian man was appointed captain of the side in 2013 by current manager, Gordon Strachan.
The midfielder has notched on four occasions on the international stage, with goals against Czech Republic, Norway, Poland and Macedonia.
The six-time SPL winner said of his retirement: “It’s no secret that I’ve suffered some injuries in my career and once you get over 30 you have to protect your body more.”
The Dunfermline born man has a lot to look for going forward in his club career with Brendan Rodgers’ side well placed to qualify for the group stages of the Champions League this season after a 5-2 win over Israeli outfit Hapoel Be’er Sheva.
