Arsenal midfielder, Jack Wilshere is set for a move to Bournemouth after the club blocked a move to Serie A side Roma, according to reports from BBC Sport journalist, David Ornstein.

It had been reported earlier on Deadline Day that the midfielder had agreed terms with the Rome based outfit, with the move pending an agreement from the Gunners.

However, the club rejected the approach from Italy which leaves Eddie Howe’s side as the favourites to land the 24-year-old, with Crystal Palace also cooling their interest.

The England international, who has been left out of Sam Allardyce’s first squad due to  a lack of first team football, is looking for a platform to resurrect his international career.

Although the South Coast looks the most likely destination, there has reportedly been a late approach from Italian giants AC Milan, who have declared their interest.

Former Gooners youngster, Benik Afobe, could have a say in any deal as the striker, now with The Cherries, having a close relationship with Wilshere.
