Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, looks to be continuing his obsession with swelling the attacking ranks at Anfield, having been credited with interest in Atletico Bilbao’s Inaki Williams, according to reports from Don Balon.

The 22-year-old, who has scored 16 goals in 70 appearances for the Spanish outfit, has  a reported €50m (around £44m) release clause in his contract which, should the Reds payout such a fee for the forward, would make him their record signing.

The Bilbao academy graduate has a solitary appearance for the Spanish national side, having made his debut for the three-time European Championship winners in May of this year in a 3-1 friendly win over Bosnia and Herzegovina.

However, Klopp will have a fight on his hands to land the striker, with bitter rivals, Everton also rumoured to be interested and, since the investment of Farhad Moshiri, they can also afford the fee.

Should the former Borussia Dortmund manager land his target, then he will have quite the battle on his hands to earn a place in the starting XI, with the likes of Saido Mane, Adam Lallana, Daniel Sturridge, Roberto Firmino, Philippe Coutinho, Divock Origi and Danny Ings all fighting for similar positions.
