Juventus have reportedly completed the £75.3m signing of Argentina international forward Gonzalo Higuain, according to Sky in Italy.

The Serie A champions are understood to have captured the Napoli striker on a four-year contract after he passed a medical in Madrid, Spain, on Friday.

The 28-year-old, who has 63 international caps for his country, scored a sensational 38 goals and provided three assists in 42 appearances in all competitions for the Italian outfit last season.

Higuain, who now becomes the world’s third most expensive player of all-time behind Real Madrid duo Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo, is set to earn around £6.3m per season with Juve.

He becomes manager Massimiliano Allegri’s fifth summer signing following the similar arrivals of Miralem Pjanic, Dani Alves, Medhi Benatia and Marko Pjaca in Turin.

Since joining Napoli from La Liga giants Real Madrid back in July 2013 for a reported fee of €40m, the Argentine ace has gone onto score 91 times in just 146 games.
