International football has its place on the television screens around the world over the next two weeks, with important World Cup qualifiers to be held.

England are back in action after a turbulent few weeks, which has seen Sam Allardyce lose his job and Gareth Southgate take over on an interim basis. His first match is at Wembley against Malta on Saturday, followed by a trip to Slovenia on Tuesday night.

The fortnight break also gives Premier League managers a chance to take in some international football, and many may use the time to scout out potential January signings.

Jurgen Klopp may well be one of those looking to improve his Liverpool side and perhaps turn them into genuine title contenders.

The Reds have won five of their first seven matches, including their last four in a row, and are the league’s joint top-scorers alongside Manchester City.

However, Klopp may feel that he is still one or two players away from a sustained title challenge, so here are THREE players him and his team should be scouting over the next few weeks…

Elseid Hysaj

One of the most highly-rated young full-backs in Europe, Napoli’s Elseid Hysaj would be an excellent signing for Liverpool, both in the short term and the long term.

The Reds have been having a few issues with the full-back areas this season, and could do with strengthening that part of the pitch to sustain a title challenge.

22-year-old Hysaj is mainly a right-back but is more than comfortable playing at left-back, which would provide Klopp with greater options in the full-back areas.

The Albania international will look to add to his 25 caps against Liechtenstein and Spain this week – the latter of which will be a serious test of his ability, and a game Liverpool scouts should certainly attend.

Jose Luis Gaya

Another full-back well regarded within Europe, Valencia’s Jose Luis Gaya is tipped to go on and become one of the world’s best full-backs.

He is remarkably quick and very experienced for his age, having played over 80 times for the Spanish side.

He is a part of the Spain Under-21 squad for their matches against San Marino and Estonia this fortnight, and Liverpool scouts should be there to analyse whether or not he could be a solution to their full-back issues.

Arkadiusz Milik

If Liverpool want to bring in a striker with a proven record of scoring goals, they need look no further than Napoli’s Arkadiusz Milik.

The Polish international has been scoring goals for fun since arriving at the Italian club in the summer – he’s netted seven times in nine games for the club, including a brace in their 2-1 win at Dynamo Kiev in the UEFA Champions League.

His big money move to Italy came off the back of an excellent few years at Ajax, where he netted 37 goals across two seasons for the Dutch giants.

It’s clear that Milik doesn’t shirk from a challenge, and his move to Italy suggests that he can transfer his ability straight from one league to another.

The Polish striker will help lead the line alongside Robert Lewandowski against Denmark and Armenia this week, and members of the Liverpool management team should be in attendance to see if Milik can continue his excellent run of form.
