Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is set to be given £100m to spend this summer, and is already targeting two stars from his Premier League rivals, according to The Sun on Sunday.
The German boss is keen to sign a new goalkeeper at the end of the season, despite the fact that the club handed current number one Simon Mignolet a new four-and-a-half year deal just a few weeks ago, and he wants to buy British.
Two of the stoppers that he is interested in are Southampton’s Fraser Forster and Stoke City’s Jack Butland – both England internationals.
The former kept six successive clean sheets on his return from injury earlier this year, while the latter has been lauded for his performances between the sticks for the Potters.
Liverpool have bought a number of players from the Saints in the past two years, including Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana, Dejan Lovren and Nathaniel Clyne.
