League Two Preview: Top-two clash at Home Park

Leaders Plymouth Argyle host second-placed Northampton Town at Home Park in a top of the table clash.

Four straight wins have seen Derek Adams’ side sit three-points above the Cobblers, who have won seven of their last nine league matches.

The Devon side have lost three times at home this season, while Town, who would go top if they win by a two-goal margin, have been defeated just twice on their travels.

Elsewhere, Devon’s other League Two side, Exeter City, will have to put a trip to Anfield to one side for the time being as they aim to end a four-match losing streak at Morecambe.

The Grecians secured an FA Cup replay against Liverpool after a 2-2 draw at St James Park on Friday, and boss Paul Tisdale will hope his side can carry that performance into the league.

Morecambe, who are one point above their visitors, have yet to draw at home this season, winning four and drawing six of their 10 outings at the Globe Arena.
