Leeds and QPR eye former Liverpool defender

Two Championship clubs are reportedly battling it out for former Liverpool defender Jack Hobbs.

It is understood that Leeds United and Queens Park Rangers are both interested in signing the Nottingham Forest centre-half following his fine start to the new campaign at the City Ground.

The 27-year-old, who left Anfield for Leicester City back in 2009, made 19 appearances in all competitions for Dougie Freedman’s side last season, but has already featured three times this term.

QPR are seeking an alternative target after missing out on USA international and Bolton Wanderers defender Tim Ream to Fulham, whilst Leeds have also been linked with a move for England Under-21 international Liam Moore from Leicester.
