Leeds United are reportedly interested in signing Australia international midfielder Tom Rogic during the January transfer window, according to The Yorkshire Post.

The Championship side, who currently lie 15th in the table following their 2-1 defeat to Ipswich Town on Tuesday night, are thought to be weighing up a bid in excess of £1m for the Celtic star this month.

The 23-year-old, who has 13 international caps for his country, has scored six goals in 27 appearances in all competitions for the Scottish Premiership giants this season.

However Celtic boss Ronny Deila insists that Rogic will be staying at Parkhead beyond this transfer window: “I haven’t heard so much about that.

“But what I do know is that we want to re-sign Tom and have him here for the future.

“He’s made a lot of progress and we see a lot of potential in him.”
