After the welcome news that Leicester City playmaker Riyad Mahrez has signed a new four-year deal, the Foxes will go into Saturday’s game in good spirits.

Fresh from their title-winning season, Claudio Ranieri’s side faced an early setback after an opening day defeat to Premier League new-boys Hull City.

The visit from Arsenal at the King Power Stadium will prove to be another tough fixture as the Gunners look to rectify their early loss to Liverpool.

Arsene Wenger’s side will be desperate to pick up a win against the Foxes as the side have come under heavy criticism for their lack of summer signings and fresh ideas coming into the new campaign.

In particular, drawing questions over Wenger’s commitment to the club as it has been well documented that this will probably be his last season, leaving many fans to wonder whether there will be much change in what is no longer a new project for the Frenchman.

Leicester will be hoping that key men Mahrez and Jamie Vardy can recapture some of the form they showed last season as they brace themselves for a fight to finish in the top-half.

Likewise, Arsenal will be depending on their wealth of international experience in the form of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil to stabilise the ship and launch an assault on the Premier League title.

Arsenal’s injury list is ever-growing as Oliver Giroud, Laurent Koscielny and Ozil face a race to be fit after reaching the latter stages of Euro 2016.

Centre-backs Per Mertersacker and Gabriel are also sidelined with injuries, while Aaron Ramsey has a hamstring injury ruling him out until after the international break.

The Foxes have no major injury concerns ahead of Saturday’s fixture.
