Away from the action, it appears that the Merseyside giants are now set to be handed another huge boost.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign defender Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace.
The England international has been linked with a move to Anfield for some time now, and Romano claims that the Premier League champions have now agreed a deal worth more than £35 million.

The deal will also see the Eagles benefit from a 10% sell-on clause, it is claimed, with Guehi having already agreed personal terms with the Reds a month ago.
Guehi, 25, has played more than 160 times for Palace since joining from Chelsea four years ago.
The centre-back – who scored against Aston Villa on Sunday night – has established himself as one of the best in the Premier League in his position, and is also now a regular for England.
His contract with the Eagles is set to expire at the end of the current campaign, though, and it appears that the South London side have opted to cap in on the player now, rather than losing him as a free agent next summer.
Guehi will become the latest star to join the Reds this summer, with the Merseyside outfit having spent heavily this summer on the likes of Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike.
He will compete with the likes of Ibrahima Konate and Joe Gomez for a starting spot in Slot’s side.
