Liverpool will discover their fixture list for the 2026/27 Premier League season when they are announced on Friday morning.
The Reds will have Andoni Iraola in charge at the start of next term, with the Spaniard having replaced Arne Slot following the Dutchman’s dismissal.
Slot was sacked by Liverpool just 12 months after guiding the club to just its second Premier League title, while Iraola had left high-flying Bournemouth at the end of last season.
Now, with the transfer window having opened officially at the start of the week, it has emerged that the Reds have agreed a deal to sign an attacker.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign winger Victor Munoz from Spanish side Osasuna.
The 22-year-old impressed in La Liga last season, scoring six goals and registering two assists in 34 matches in the competition.
His impressive displays earned him an international debut in March this year, and he was a surprise inclusion in Luis de la Fuente’s 26-man squad for the World Cup in North America this summer.
Romano claims that the Reds have hijacked Newcastle United’s pursuit of the young winger, with the Magpies having been in talks with the player for some time.
Instead, Liverpool have worked quickly to agree personal terms with the attacker and will now activate his release clause, which is set at around £34.67 million.
Munoz is currently contracted to Osasuna until the end of the 2029/30 campaign, having signed a long-term deal when joining the club from fellow Spanish side Real Madrid last year.
It appears, however, that the winger will in fact be moving to Merseyside this summer, becoming the first signing of the Iraola era at Anfield.
