Liverpool are reportedly set to discuss a potential £7m deal to offload Serbia international Lazar Markovic permanently.

The Premier League side, who suffered a 2-0 defeat to the hands of West Ham United at the weekend, are due talks with Turkish giants Fenerbahce following the winger’s impressive loan spell away from Anfield.

The 21-year-old, who arrived at Anfield in a deal worth £20m in July 2014 from Benfica, has scored once in 13 appearances in all competitions for the Super Lig outfit this season.

Markovic, who has 21 international caps for his country, originally joined Fenerbahce on a season-long loan deal back in August, with the Turkish club willing to offer no more than £7m to make his stay permanent this month.
