AC Milan and Inter Milan are both reportedly interested in signing France international defender Mamadou Sakho, according to Calciomercato.
The Serie A rivals, who currently sit third and tenth in the Italian top-flight table after their opening 15 league fixtures respectively, could offer the centre-half a route out of Premier League side Liverpool during the upcoming January transfer window.
The 26-year-old, who has 28 international caps for his country, has failed to make a first-team appearance for The Reds so far this season.
Sakho, who missed France’s Euro 2016 campaign this summer following a failed drugs test, arrived at Anfield back in September 2013 following his reported £18m switch from defending Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain.
However the centre-half has been surplus to requirements under Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp this term and was sent home during his side’s pre-season tour of the United States after reportedly missing a flight, as well as a medical treatment session and team meal.
