Liverpool are interested in making Paris Saint-Germain defender Lucas Digne their eighth summer signing.
Following the £32.5m arrival of Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke on Wednesday night, Kop boss Brendan Rodgers is eyeing another left-back before the close of the transfer window.
The 22-year-old struggled for first-team opportunities last season under the Ligue 1 champions, making just 24 appearances in all competitions.
Digne, who has eight international caps for France, has also been linked with a move away to La Liga side Atletico Madrid and Serie A outfit Roma this summer.
Manager Rodgers has already brought in Charlton Athletic defender Joe Gomez for £3.5m earlier this window, although it remains unseen on whether the 18-year-old would start for Liverpool ahead of the new Premier League campaign.
