Liverpool are plotting another January move for a defender this month – Portugal international Raphael Guerreiro, according to TuttoMercatoWeb.

The Premier League side, who confirmed the loan signing of England centre-half Steven Caulker from QPR today, are thought to be interested in a permanent deal for the highly-rated Lorient left-back during the January transfer window.

The 22-year-old, who has three international caps for his country, has scored one goal in 1 appearances in all competitions for the Ligue 1 outfit this season.

Guerreiro, who is also reportedly attracting interest from Serie A sides Napoli and Roma, played alongside Reds defender Tiago Ilori during Portugal’s Under-21 European Championships last summer.
