Liverpool join Manchester United and Manchester City in £10m chase for West Ham United starlet

Liverpool have reportedly joined Manchester United and Manchester City in the race to sign England youth international Reece Oxford, according to the Daily Mirror.

The Premier League side, who finished eighth in the English top-flight standings and reached the UEFA Europa League final this term, are interested in luring the highly-rated West Ham United defender to Anfield this summer.

The 17-year-old, who is an England Under-19 international, made 12 first-team appearances for the Hammers in all competitions last season under boss Slaven Bilic.

However it is understood that Oxford’s services are available for around £10m this summer after the young centre-half rejected a new deal with West Ham.

Oxford became the Londoners’ youngest-ever player when he made his first-team debut last July against FC Lusitanos in the Europa League.

Despite still having two years left on his current deal at West Ham; the club’s asking price hasn’t seemed to put off the Premier League trio, who are set to fight it out for his signature in the near future.
