Liverpool are reportedly hopeful of agreeing a loan deal for Serbia international defender Neven Subotic.
The Premier League side, who currently sit eighth in the standings following their 2-0 defeat to West Ham United last weekend, are desperately searching for centre-halve solutions during the January transfer window.
The 27-year-old, who has 36 international caps for his country, has only made two league appearances for Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund so far this season.
Subotic; who worked with Reds boss Jurgen Klopp as early as last season at the German club, is wanted at Anfield after Liverpool were left without any recognised centre-halves following Tuesday night’s League Cup match at Stoke City as Dejan Lovren suffered a hamstring injury, meanwhile fellow defender Kolo Toure pulled up with cramp during the dying embers of the tie.
