The 22-year-old, who has featured four times for Brazil’s Under-23 squad, scored nine goals and provided one assist in 34 appearances in all competitions for the Liga NOS outfit last season.

Talisca, who switched to Benfica from Brazilian side Bahia back in 2014 for a reported fee of £3.5m, has impressed in the Portuguese top-flight – helping the club seal back-to-back league titles and cup doubles in his first two terms.

The reports suggests that Jurgen Klopp’s Reds are now interested in luring the central midfielder to Anfield this summer, who could be available for around £21m.
