OGC Nice have completed the free signing of Italy international striker Mario Balotelli.

The Ligue 1 outfit, who finished fourth in the French top-flight last term, have landed the forward from Premier League side Liverpool after the Reds agreed to let him go for free on transfer deadline day.

The 26-year-old, who has 33 international caps for his country, but was not part of the Italian squad that competed at the 2016 European Championships in France earlier this summer, scored just four goals in 28 games in all competitions for the Reds.

Balotelli, who arrived at Anfield from Serie A giants AC Milan back in August 2014 following his £16m switch, was loaned back to the San Siro outfit last season.

The Italian forward managed to find the back of the net just three times and provided one assist in 23 appearances for Milan prior to returning to Liverpool this summer.

However, Balotelli hasn’t done enough to impress Reds boss Jurgen Klopp upon his return to Merseyside, instead being allowed to join Nice on a free transfer tonight.
