Liverpool are reportedly ready to double the wages of Egypt international superstar Mohamed Salah, according to The Sun.

The Premier League side, who drew 0-0 at home to relegation threatened Stoke City at Anfield on Saturday afternoon, have been linked with rewarding their free scoring forward with a new deal, despite the player only joining the club little over 10 months ago following his reported £36.9m switch from AS Roma in June 2017.

The 25-year-old, who has 57 international caps for his country, has remarkably scored 43 goals and provided 15 assists in just 47 appearances in all competitions for Jurgen Klopp’s men so far this season.

Salah, who found the back of the net just twice in 19 outings for Premier League rivals Chelsea between 2014 and 2016, has been touted as a possible mega money transfer target for Real Madrid this summer following his outstanding debut term at Anfield.

However, the report claims the Egyptian is poised to double his money at Merseyside, with Liverpool ready to begin talks over a £185,000-a-week contract for the magical right winger.

Salah is currently contracted to The Reds until June 2022, on a deal worth around £90,000-a-week.
